Mexico – November 2021. This group of High School, College and Adult individuals travel to Mexico each year during Thanksgiving week. Mexico Caravan Ministries is a missions mobilization ministry hosting short term, home-building mission trips in Tijuana. Most of what they do involves construction – may include building 12′ x 12′ shelters for those who don’t have adequate housing, putting on roofs, laying cement, etc. Large group teaching times are planned with a strong focus on missions – a whole new understanding of the Great Commission, the 10/40 window and what their responsibility is in fulfilling it. 
Senior adults, mark your calendars! Thursday, August 26 4pm. Our picnic will begin at 4pm with a lively barbershop quartet concert. Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by a fun group game. $5.00/person or bring a side dish/dessert to share. Please RSVP to Marilyn 517 322 2000 or mwagner@southlife.org
The senior adults are boarding vans and going to Cornwall’s Dinner Theatre in Turkeyville. Sept 23, 2021. Meet at church 11:00am, arrive back at South 5:00 pm. $40.00/person. RSVP DEADLINE 8/30/2021. We will be seeing RING OF FIRE, Johnny Cash’s remarkable life story told through his music. This is a unique musical about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption, and the healing power of home and family. What’s up with all the SCAMS targeting senior adults? Join us for an informative talk followed by a pizza lunch. Thursday, January 13. 11:00 in the chapel. Our speaker, Steve Whelan, is a former pastor, and now a local police officer with 21 years of experience. He will walk us through this topic so we can be wise as serpents!
