We are looking for more choir singers starting in the fall. All parts are needed, (especially sopranos and altos). Reading music is beneficial but not crucial. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:30 with the first rehearsal of the season on August 30. Come one. Come all. No audition necessary. Pastor Don’s 1st Person Narratives
Sunday, December 17 at 9:30 and 11 AM
Services will be combined on December 17th to see Pastor Don’s 1st-person narrative. Both services will meet in the Worship Center but will still meet at the usual times at 9:30 and 11:00am. Pastor Don will dress up as a biblical character and tell the story of our Savior’s birth from that character’s perspective. It will be a special time as we focus our attention on the birth of God’s son.
What is a first-person narrative?
It is the creation of a real-to-life account of a biblical person or event, built on a factual framework of Scripture, history and tradition, while allowing the imagination to flesh-out the story. What makes such a sermon true to life is not found in the incidental details which are presented, but in the reality of their universal humanity
