Women's Study - “Psalm 23” @ South Church, Room 201

Psalm 23 study by Jennifer Rothchild
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Many women know Psalm 23 by heart but haven’t experienced its power in their lives. This beloved psalm can breathe new life into women who are weary and unsure of their next steps. It’s more than a psalm that comforts in death; it gives confidence in life. In this 7-session study by Jennifer Rothschild, gain fresh insight and encouragement from Psalm 23. Explore the depths of God’s compassionate care while debunking the self-reliance myth. Learn how your vulnerability is not a liability because you can trust the Shepherd’s goodness throughout each season of life. Facilitated by Darla Daugherty.

Steadfast – Mondays at 6:30 pm via Zoom

Faithfulness regardless of our circumstances. That’s what it means to be steadfast. But in a world where so much can undermine our faith or pull us off track, steadfastness is often a rare and elusive trait.

James longs for his readers to be steadfast. His letter meets us in our suffering and sickness, our trials and temptations, our wealth and poverty, our ups and downs. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride. He encourages believers to have a more resilient and concrete faith: not just to hear the Word, but to do it. He calls us to persevere in truth in a world of lies, to see that God’s steadfast love is ultimately the source of our steadfast faith. Facilitated by Terri Bettinger by Zoom.

“Mama Bear Apologetics”
Refresh for Moms of Infants and Preschool Age Children.

The problem with lies is they don’t often sound like lies. They seem harmless, and even sound right. So what’s a Mama Bear to do when her kids seem to be absorbing the culture’s lies uncritically?

Mama Bear Apologetics is the book you’ve been looking for. This mom-to-mom guide will equip you to teach your kids how to form their own biblical beliefs about what is true and what is false. Through transparent life stories and clear, practical applications – including prayer strategies – this band of Mama Bears offers you tools to train yourself, so you can turn around and train your kids. Are you ready to answer the rallying cry, “Mess with our kids and we will demolish your arguments”? Join the Mama Bears and raise your voice to protect your kids – by teaching them how to think through and address the issues head-on, yet with gentleness and respect. Facilitated by Tami Harrison. Childcare for Infants and Preschool Age Children provided. Workbook/Childcare $15.

Precept Inductive Bible Study: Galatians
Would you like to learn how to study the Bible inductively?  In Precept Upon Precept, we study the text of the Bible and learn to discover Truth for ourselves.  We will start this fall in the book of Galatians and we will learn so much!  As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose.  Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began.  What does it mean to live under grace?  Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian?  All of it or just part of it?  Who is right?  How will we know?  Come, join us as we dive into God’s word! Facilitated by Pat Schaible, Marilyn Wagner and Jan Zanetti in Room 111, Workbook $17.
