Every October, South has the privilege of hosting missionaries who are on home assignment. They share with us during Sunday services & adult communities and in various fellowships. Also there are activities planned throughout the week where you can get a closer look into the lives and needs of our missionaries.
Have lunch with a missionary on Monday, February 24 at noon in the Commons. Jacob & Asse Wilson will be here to share about their work at the Mekelle Youth Center in Ethiopia. Come and hear how God is working! RSVP: Call Detta Wesolek at 323-4930 to reserve your spot for the lasagna lunch (cost TBD).
Mission Focus

Missions Month
It has been a long-held tradition for South Church to hold a Mission Conference in mid-October to uplift the Lord’s work and connect our people with local and global missions. This year has brought numerous challenges, but we still want to celebrate what God is doing around the globe in spreading the Gospel. Mission Conference Week has now become Missions Month There are several opportunities to connect with a missionary during the month, but we also encourage you to connect with a missionary on your own!
Keynote Speaker, Paul Borthwick, will be speaking during the morning (9:30 am and 11:15 am) and evening (6:00 pm) services on Sunday, October 4, through video.

It’s time for our annual Shoebox Collection for Operation Christmas Child. Families can fill a shoebox with toys & supplies for needy children around the globe. Best of all, Samaritan’s Purse will include a booklet that will introduce these children to their greatest need of all, Jesus. Boxes can be dropped off at the tables near the entrances.
