We still have 11 neighborhoods left to adopt, that’s 6,759 homes. Thank you to those who have already adopted the 14 neighborhoods of 8,131 homes. We would like to distribute the rest before the end of September. If you could adopt a neighborhood, please contact Debra Holton in Room 119 after each service or call the church office at 322-2000.

Frank Tanana will resume our series of Lansing Talks – stories worth sharing. Tanana, who enjoyed a twenty-one year career in Major League Baseball (eight years with the Tigers), was born again in 1983 and became a leader among baseball’s Christian community. In retirement, he has continued to serve the Lord as an elder in his church, assisting the Tigers’ chaplain, and leading Bible studies. Please come hear his incredible story and about how the gospel changed his life. Contact Pastor Tim for more information: tvanloh@southlife.org

Did you know that 10% of the population of Lansing are refugees – and 60 refugees are being added every month! We have tremendous opportunities to reach out to these souls coming to our doorstep. These kind of opportunities include mentoring, befriending, tutoring and being conversation partners. If you are interested and would like more information, please join us at 7:15 in the Fireside Room for a 30 minute informative meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Tim Van Loh

God is bringing the nations to Lansing on a weekly basis. While sending missionaries to people groups around the world is still a priority, now we all can represent Christ by ministering to the ones God is sending here. Join us Saturday, 11/4 from 9:30-11 am for a training seminar to learn how you can befriend and show Christ’s love to these precious people.
