We will be volunteering at Upscale Thrift Store to sort clothes and do whatever they need help with. We will meet there at 10:30am and work til 12:30 pm. We then go to Chick-Fil-A as a group for lunch. We had lots of fun when we did this a couple of years ago. We hope you join us again. Please RSVP to Diane Kreh (517 281-3183) by 3/15.
MOSAIC MINISTRIES: Don’t sit home alone this New Years Eve! 12-31-2021. Join other Senior Adult Singles for an evening for food and fun until the ball drops and a new year begins. We will start by meeting for dinner at Logan’s Steakhouse at 5 pm. After dinner we will head over to South Church where we will carpool over to Verndale Apartments. The community room is reserved for fun and games. Verndale Apartments does not offer much parking for guests, so carpooling from the church is a good option. Bring games and some favorite snacks and beverages.
Join us next Saturday, January 15th, to be a volunteer at Upscale Thrift Store, 3700 W Saginaw St, in Lansing. We will help the staff wherever they need our help. Itmay be hanging up clothes, tagging clothes, putting goods on the floor. This was quite fun when we did thisa couple of years ago. Please join us!
Let’s celebrate Valentine’s Day with a potluck and game night. We will be meeting at 5 pm in the church Student Center. We enjoy a meal and play games. Please bring a dish to pass and table games to play. There are also some fun games already in the Student Center to enjoy. Hope you will join us.
Mosaic Ministries will be visiting the Michigan History Center, 702 W Kalamazoo St, Lansing. We will meet at the History Center at 1 pm and walk thru as a group. This center offers a walk-through of Michigan’s rich past, from the time of the state’s earliest peoples to the late 20th century. There is a $6 fee for this event.
Hopefully winter is over and we can enjoy a potluck and movie together. We will meet in the Fireside room at 5pm. Please bring a dish to pass. After we are done eating, we will enjoy a Christian film together.
Mosaic Ministries will be traveling to Dow Gardens in Midland for the day. We will meet at the church at 9 am to ride together. Dow Gardens features spectacular botanical gardens, butterflies, waterfall and the nation’s longest canopy walk. There is a cost of $5-$10 to go through the gardens. The cost depends on what activities you want to do there. Come join us!
The Sea Cruisers will be sharing their music at 7 pm on Thursday at Jaycee Park in Grand Ledge. The park is along River Street in Grand Ledge. They put on an awesome concert. Bring a lawn chair and look for our group. It’s always fun to sit together and sing to the oldies together.
“Frendz” Big Band Swing/50s Rock/Motown Greats, will be sharing their music at St Johns City Park. We will have a potluck picnic starting at 5:30 pm in the pavilion. Bring a lawn chair, a passing dish and your appetite. Let’s fellowship together over a nice picnic dinner and great music. Concert starts at 7 pm. If you want to carpool, meet in the church parking lot by 4:30 pm.
Mosaic ministry is planning a Bonfire with the Legacy group at the church. We will begin at 6 pm with roasting hot dogs over the fire. The hot dogs, buns and condiments will be provided. Please bring something good that goes well with hot dogs and s’mores, and a lawn chair. Let’s enjoy fellowship with other seniors. If we have inclement weather, the event will be cancelled. Please sign up on the Legacy board if you plan to attend.
