Worship with your brothers then grab your lounge chair and join us at the new fire pit located on the South Church property by the ‘barn.’ We will gather around a fire for a few hours of friendly fellowship to encourage one another and come to know each other better.

Church Membership
Church membership is about belonging to one another and becoming like Jesus. It is the way for individual Christians to make their formal commitment to the South Church family. In becoming a church member, individuals express their submission to the leadership of the church in accordance with the teaching of Scripture and the doctrinal statement of South Church.
Requirements for South Church Membership:
- Personal profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Committed to corporate worship and personal devotion to Christ and His Word.
- Baptism as a believer—at South Church we practice believer’s baptism by immersion. According to the command of Jesus himself and consistent with New Testament teaching, those who have consciously turned from their sin and put their personal faith in Jesus Christ should be baptized as an outward sign of their commitment to Him as Savior and Lord.
- Membership Course—attend The Membership Course that is normally offered three times during the year.

SPUR: Spiritual Prompting Unto Righteousness
SPUR is devoted to prompting spiritual growth and leadership among men.
Spur is made up of meaningful times of prayer, bible study, book study, sharing, learning and growing in our walk with Jesus. Currently, we are studying the book, Knowing God by J. I. Packer. This book has been an important tool to help Christians around the world discover the wonder, the glory and the joy of knowing God.
New believer or seasoned believer, if you want to learn how to walk with Jesus, come join us and we will learn and grow together. New people, age 21+, are always welcome and can jump in anytime. We meet the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month at Panera Bread in the Frandor Plaza with a start time of 7am.

Each month, Men of South gather for prayer the first Saturday, in room 205 and over Zoom online at 8:30AM. This Saturday will be a much-needed, powerful time of joining together in prayer. Men, please come, and let’s pray for revival for our church, our city, our state, our country and our world.“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16

This year’s Men’s Huddle will be the first week of Camp Barakel’s Men’s Retreats October 15-17. You can register online (http://www.campbarakel.org/events/fall-mens) or by mail (pick up an application from the display table). Cost $115. Don’t forget to designate that you are with South Church so that you will be put in lodging with the rest of our group.
