Precept Inductive Bible Study: Galatians
Would you like to learn how to study the Bible inductively?  In Precept Upon Precept, we study the text of the Bible and learn to discover Truth for ourselves.  We will start this fall in the book of Galatians and we will learn so much!  As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose.  Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began.  What does it mean to live under grace?  Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian?  All of it or just part of it?  Who is right?  How will we know?  Come, join us as we dive into God’s word! Facilitated by Pat Schaible, Marilyn Wagner and Jan Zanetti in Room 111, Workbook $17.

“Jesus & Women” (Kristi McLelland)
“Take heart, daughter.” Matthew 9:22 Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus of Nazareth—braving jostling crowds just to touch the edge of His cloak and hear Him say, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you.” Those words, once meant to comfort a hurting woman’s soul thousands of years ago, were also meant for you.

Join biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world, stepping into the footsteps of the women who came face to face with the living God. Over 7 sessions, examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today.

Facilitated by Becky Phillips in the Fireside Room, Workbook $16.

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm

“Better: A Study of Hebrews” (Jen Wilkin)
Jesus is better. In this 10-session, verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, Jen Wilkin explores how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone.

Facilitated by Rhonda Franck in Room 201, Workbook $16.

“Son of David” (Nancy Guthrie)

What kind of king and what kind of kingdom are we asking for when we pray this prayer Jesus taught us to pray? A study of the Old Testament Historical Books—Joshua through Esther—enables us to see the kingdom of God not only as it once was, but also as it is now, and as it will be one day. Study the history of the people of God from the time they entered the Promised Land through a series of failed kings, exile, and finally their return to await the true King. Readers will see Jesus as: The greater Joshua who leads his people into rest; the greater Boaz who has done all that is necessary to redeem; the greater King who will sit on David’s throne forever; and the greater Restorer who is building his church from ruined stones.

Gain a fresh perspective on Israel’s history and God’s kingdom, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of Scripture, and much more when you join with Nancy on this incredible journey to see Jesus in the Old Testament! Facilitated by Carolyn Riley in Room 201, Workbook $16.
