Women’s Study: James – Living A Life of Genuine Faith @ Virtual Zoom Class
Oct 27 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

James: Living A Life of Genuine Faith – Jen Wilkin.
This study will be held via zoom each Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

The Bible study may be different than the studies you have done in the past. It will not cover a specific topic from all angles. It will not focus on answering the question “What does the Bible say about me?” It will not aid you in self-discovery, at least not as its primary intent. What it will do is teach you an important passage of the Bible in a way that will stay with you for years to come. It will challenge you to move beyond loving God with just your heart to loving Him with your mind. It will focus on answering the question “What does the Bible say about God?”

To make the most of our time together, we encourage participants (1) to work through the workbook and (2) to listen to an audio lesson taught by Jen Wilkin. This Tuesday night time will be a discussion of the information in the audio lesson.

Facilitated by Judy Peterson, 6:30-8:00 pm.
There is no charge for the .pdf workbook which is available for you to download HERE  or we can supply you with a notebook containing the workbook ($5.00)You will find each week’s audio lesson HERE.

Women’s Study: Jude, Contending For The Faith @ South Church, Room 111
Oct 27 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Women's Study: Jude, Contending For The Faith @ South Church, Room 111

Jude: Contending for the Faith – Jackie Hill Perry.
While often overlooked, the Book of Jude remains as relevant today as the time it was written. God has commanded His beloved church to do the necessary work of contending for the faith in a world of unbelief, and as we do, He will keep us from falling into the same deception. In this 7-session study from Jackie Hill Perry, dive into themes of being called, loved, and kept, and learn how to point others to Jesus in grace and truth.

Facilitated by Becky Phillips, 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Rm. 111. Workbook $14.00. Workbooks will be available at the first class and payment can be made at that time.

Women’s Bible Study – Refresh for mothers of infants and preschool age children.
Nov 3 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Tuesdays: January 13 – 7:30 pm

Refresh: for mothers of infant and preschool age children. Give Them Grace by Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson.

All of us want to raise good kids. And we want to be good parents. But what exactly do we mean by “good?” And is “being good” really the point?

Mother-daughter team Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jessica Thompson contend that every way we try to make our kids “good” is simply an extension of Old Testament Law―a set of standards that is not only unable to save our children, but also powerless to change them.

No, rules are not the answer. What they need is grace.

We must tell our kids of the grace-giving God who freely adopts rebels and transforms them into loving sons and daughters. If this is not the message your children hear, if you are just telling them to “be good,” then the gospel needs to transform your parenting too.

Give Them Grace is a revolutionary perspective on parenting that shows us how to receive the gospel afresh and give grace in abundance, helping our children know the dazzling love of Jesus and respond with heartfelt obedience.

Facilitated by Tami Harrison, this group will be meeting at the church in the Student Ministry Center. There will not be childcare. Please contact Tami for more information at trevor.tami@gmail.com. Cost for book $10.00.
