When You Pray

Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Study Guides: $22 with individual video access code. Register at least a week in advance to reserve a study guide. 
Gather with other women the 2nd Saturday of each month as we pray for the ministries of our church, community and world. We are will be meeting in person. Join us upstairs in room 205 at 8:30 am for an hour.
Never Alone (widows) group meets on Thursdays, once a month at 1:00 pm. To reserve a spot, call Carol Senard at (517) 256-1122 or Lois Freeman at (517) 449-3279 by Wednesday before the luncheon. These are usually the fourth Thursday of the month, with the exception of November and December, due to holidays. Plans are made six months at a time.

I Will Survive and Thrive Cancer support group will be meeting on Monday, December 4th at Noon in the Fireside Room. We will have caring and sharing time and celebrate the upcoming holidays. We hope you are able to join us.

Come Celebrate Jesus’s Birthday Saturday, December 9th, 11:30-2 pm. This is a special event for our Chosen Ministry. You can come help with food, sit with our guests, help with games, or put together gifts before the event. No matter what you will be Blessed to be a part of this event. Visions of Christmas is an outreach opportunity for the Women of South to invite their friends who need to hear the gospel message centered around the birth of Christ. Hostesses volunteer to beautifully decorate tables where guests will enjoy a light meal and dessert.
Guest Speaker: Sue Heimer
Sue Heimer is an author, counselor, Bible teacher and international speaker. Sue is the president and founder of Leaving Your Legacy Ministries, a ministry to encourage and support women in every stage of life.
She is a sought-after conference and retreat speaker inspiring thousands of women each year with her messages of hope. Sue is a biblical counselor and the daughter of our own Luann Weiland.
