Jul 16 – Jul 30 all-day

A team is going to Solid Rock Bible camp from July 16 – 30, 2016 to complete multiple carpentry projects. The trip will include 10 days of work, 1 day halibut fishing on the Cook inlet, 2 weekend days sightseeing and attending the Arctic Thunder Air show at the JBER military base outside of Anchorage. We have found ways to reduce the travel costs and the camp covers our total stay and provides transportation.

Most of what they do involves construction – may include building 12′ x 12′ shelters for those who don’t have adequate housing, putting on roofs, laying cement, etc. Large group teaching times are planned with a strong focus on missions – a whole new understanding of the Great Commission, the 10/40 window and what their responsibility is in fulfilling it. Sign up will begin this summer.

Southeast Asia Women’s Ministry Team
May 1 @ 7:39 pm – May 8 @ 8:39 pm
Southeast Asia Women’s Ministry Team – April 2017 A team of women will travel to Southeast Asia in May of 2017. This group will be working alongside local churches and equipping ministries. The vision for our team is to train and encourage women to reach their communities for Christ.
  • Women’s Bible Training Conference. Presenting Biblical material that the women can reproduce in their ministries to equip other women.
  • Building support relationships with the women in training so they will have the encouragement of knowing we stand with them in ministry.
  • Visit to rural villages where the training women live and minister. This helps us experience the circumstances in which the women live and adapt future training opportunities to their specific needs. It also provides an opportunity for the village women to let their families and neighbors see the importance of their ministries.
  • Lead children’s activities at a local church, the red-light district and orphanages.
Joining the team: The SE Asia team is an extension of Women’s Ministries at South. It is an opportunity to not only train others in Asia but a training opportunity for our own women in areas of current and future service. In forming this team we focus on those who have demonstrated a heart for service and are faithfully involved in leading or attending WM Bible Studies or other ministries for women.
