Project: Background/Mural for Mission Playground
Goal: $2,000 SURPASSED!
The City Rescue Mission of Lansing provides food, shelter, and hope to hundreds of women, children, and men in need. A few years ago, South Lansing Kiwanis and Lake Trust installed a beautiful new playground for the children at the Mission’s shelter. However, the building adjacent to the property was defaced with graffiti. This means that every time the children play, it is to a background of bare brick and patches of paint. Recently, the Mission received permission from the building owners to provide a proper background to the playground, with some color and perhaps a mural. Our goal is to raise $2,000 to finalize “Mission: Play” by providing joy to this space for homeless children.
