South Church presents
the dramatic musical, Pilgrim. This allegorical presentation is based on the book by John Bunyan, entitled “The Pilgrim’s Progress.”
“Christian’s life is not fulfilling. In fact, after realizing his dissatisfaction with life and a run-in with someone who offers him hope, he develops a burden that leads him to begin a journey from his home in search of something more.
Guided by a king who cares for him, Christian meets many characters along the way – a wise old interpreter, a hopeful friend, and a girl from his own village. He is distracted from his journey by many misguided people, is trapped by a giant, and must fight the prince of his village for his very life.
Will he make it to the end of his journey? You’re invited to find out! As Christian experiences joy, struggles through grief, and fights for hope in the midst of despair, you’ll be moved by this relatable and engaging story.

Saturate 48917 is now complete, thanks to over 50 individuals from South who assembled packets and distributed them over this last year! We have remaining packets that can now be used in neighborhoods outside of the 48917 zip code. These will be available in baskets outside of the Worship Center and Chapel entrances during the month of August. Please take as many as you can use in your neighborhoods
Praise the Lord that all 25 of the 25 neighborhoods in 48917 were adopted last summer/fall and fully covered this spring. Thank you to all of our teams who worked to distribute the evangelism literature.
If you would like to distribute it to your neighborhood outside of the 48917 zip code, please contact Debra Holton (debrajholton@gmail.com).
What’s the best future you could imagine?
There are few emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. Where can we find a hope that won’t disappoint us?
Hope Explored looks at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel, this three-session series shows that Christianity is about real hope: a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about my present.
Hope Explored does not require a huge time commitment from guests and is one of the easiest ways to introduce someone to Christianity. The Christianity Explored series can then be run as a follow-up course for those eager to explore the Christian faith more.>
The structure of each session is simple: a short Bible study, a talk and a discussion based on the talk. This series includes picture prompts to help aid discussion at the beginning of each session.
