Mission Conference

Every October, South has the privilege of hosting missionaries who are on home assignment. They share with us during Sunday services and adult communities, and in various fellowships. Also there are activities planned throughout the week where you can get a closer look into the lives and needs of our missionaries.

Missionary Work Circle

If you enjoy sewing or helping, this is a great way to use your talents. This group of ladies meets the second Thursday of each month (September – May) at the church at 9:00am. A potluck lunch is served at noon, followed by devotions and a business meeting.

    Types of sewing projects:
  1. Quilt squares are cut, pieced and tied-off into quilts for missionaries, organizations and needy people
  2. Goody-bags are made and filled with grooming items for children at Youth Haven Ranch
  3. Bibs and lap robes are made for nursing homes
  4. Bags are made for walkers

Missionary Care Groups

What is a Missionary Care Group (MCG)? It is a small group of committed people who work together to care for their missionary in a variety of ways, striving to help meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.  It is a group of people with whom the missionary can be open and honest, allowing them to see his/her needs and share his/her successes and challenges.
