Testimony: I’m a native Yooper. I appreciate that I grew up in a committed Catholic home where I knew about God, but I didn’t fully understand what it meant to know Christ. I thought life was works-based, that if I followed the Ten Commandments I would get into heaven. When I went to college at Western Michigan University, I had two roommates who were born-again believers and I saw a close friend come to Christ. A Campus Crusade staff member shared the gospel with me, highlighting my need to trust in Christ’s provision on the cross and my need to give my life to Christ. I did make the decision to receive Christ, and as it says in John 1:12, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” I was faithfully followed-up with and discipled, and was able to lead friends to Christ.
