Women of the Word – by Jen Wilkin. We all know it’s important to study God’s word. But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. What’s more, a lack of time, emotionally driven approaches, and past frustrations can erode our resolve to keep growing in our knowledge of Scripture. How can we, as Christian women, keep our focus and sustain our passion when reading the Bible? Featuring the same content as the first edition, with added study questions at the end of each chapter, this book equips you to engage God’s word in a way that trains your mind and transforms your heart. Following ‘Women of the Word’ at a study (Workbook $14) on the book of Hebrews will begin. Facilitated by Dawna Kilgore, Rm. 201.

Following the  “Women of the Word” study, this class will begin a 10-week study – BETTER: A study of Hebrews – Jen Wilkin. In this verse-by-verse study of the Book of Hebrews, we will explore how God “provided something better for us” in the person of Jesus Christ (Heb. 11:40). Through stories of Old Testament heroes and practices, the author of Hebrews demonstrates how the new covenant is superior to the old and how Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of every promise. Explore familiar verses in context of the entire Bible, learning how to place your hope and faith in Christ alone. (Workbook $14).
