Refresh

In the midst of being a busy mom (or mom-to-be), you need time to sit back and be refreshed.

Refresh is a place where you can kick back, take off your shoes, and just be your genuine self! Grab your coffee cup and join other mothers of infants and/or preschoolers every Tuesday morning at South Church for some amazing conversation, digging into God’s word, helpful discussions on parenting, and fun activities! This is a refreshing opportunity for young mothers to network and refuel for the rest of their busy week.

Refresh meets Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:00 am at South Church in the Commons during the school year. The Winter Session begins on Tuesday, January 16 – March 27. Childcare is available for infants through preschool age children. There is a small fee ($25) which covers the cost of your study materials, activities, and childcare for the winter session.

*Please note: Do you remember what it was like to be a young mom who longed for a morning out with other moms? You can help us continue this great ministry for our moms by helping look after their little ones while they are at Refresh. There is a great need for additional childcare helpers on Tuesday mornings! For more information please contact Ruth Hultquist at (517) 819-7751.

Refresh for Moms

Beginning on September 19th, this group is for moms of infants and preschool-age children. Childcare is provided. We will be studying “Raising Kingdom Kids” by Tony Evans. This study will give us an overarching look at the need for Kingdom parenting, our roles and responsibilities in raising God-following children, and how to prepare children to take on the assignments God has for their lives. He then takes a practical turn, with examples and illustrations to help parents understand and provide specific training for kids in the power of prayer, wisdom, loving God’s Word, getting through trials, controlling their tongues, developing patience, the surrender of service, and much more.

This book is for those who want to fulfill the parenting role God has given them—not just in raising healthy kids intellectually, physically, and socially, but in contributing to their child’s relationship with God and alignment under His plan.

Tuesdays – 9:15 am childcare check-in for infants & preschool age children / 9:30 am study begins.
Facilitated by Tami Harrison. Workbook and Childcare: $25 for Fall sessions
