Conference Project

Our project this year:
The CLAY Center in Thailand

The CLAY Center stands for – Challenging Lives Among Youth! This Center (run by Dave & Diane Ford) is based on Isaiah 64:8 and the purpose is to glorify God by reaching the future generations (University students, local schools, children in various homes/orphanages) of Thailand (and surrounding SE Asian countries) for Christ, then mentoring and discipling them. This is done through sports, ESL classes, music/drama, and short term teams. The CLAY Center has around 80-100 men show up every Sunday evening, which means having to rent 2 or more soccer fields. Having their own property would save money and allow longer play time, and accomodate more people and more activities.

Last conference (2016), we collected over $28,000 for soccer fields for the CLAY Center. After losing the initial property, God provided an even better spot of land, and our monies went towards that purchase – in an amazing way! Dave Ford will be here to share the whole story! Their goal is to raise over $650,000 to totally finish this project (soccer fields, buildings, basketball courts).

This conference, our desire is to help as best we can with the CLAY Center project – perhaps double or triple last year’s giving!

To invest in the conference project, please use the enclosed conference project offering envelope or a pew envelope marked “Mission Project.” Be sure to include your name and the amount of your gift on the envelope if you would like record of your gift for tax purposes.

Children’s Project: collecting money for the CLAY Center Christmas outreach to children in a Myanmar village through soccer, sharing the Gospel, and bringing them snacks and gifts.

Children’s project collection days are on:
Sunday mornings – October 8,15, 22, 29
Wednesday evenings (Awana) – October 4, 11, 18, 25
