Sneakers for Haiti

Women’s Ministries at South is collecting NEW sneakers for New Mission kids in Haiti. You can help children in Haiti receive a gift they will use each day.

Purchasing shoes is a big expense for the very poor in Haiti. This year, the Women’s Ministry service project (and others who want to participate) is helping to provide new shoes to children.

Because all Haitian schools use uniforms, black sneakers are prized most highly. Children may wear any shoes to school, but culturally they prefer the black ones—but ALL are very much appreciated. For some students the pair of shoes worn to school is the only pair they own.

*The greatest need is for child size 13 and youth sizes 1-3. Please pray about how you can be a part of this project! You may drop off sneakers at the Women’s Ministry table on March 17 & 24.

New Mission was founded by Jeanne DeTellis (now married to Ted Loudon) and her first husband in 1983
