Associate Pastor of Evangelism & Discipleship
Born and raised: Cassopolis, MI
Education: Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv); Wheaton College (BA Business/Economics; Bible/Theology)
Ministry Experience: Here at South I am the Associate Pastor for Evangelism and Discipleship. In addition to my outreach and discipleship responsibilities, I assist in general pastoral care, which includes regularly teaching and occasionally preaching in a variety of settings. It is also my privilege to lead and teach the Kainos Adult Community. Prior to attending seminary, I was actively involved in my local church and served for two years with Samaritan’s Purse International Relief in Afghanistan.
Spouse: Rachel Cuthbert
Kids: Jonah, Thatcher, and Oliver
Hobbies: Snow skiing, biking, running, and reading
Honors: Wheaton College-Cum Laude; Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary-Summa Cum Laude
Testimony: By God’s grace, I was brought up in a Christian home; and during my teenage years, under the influence of my volunteer youth leader, came to sincere faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It was during my teenage and college years that I seriously began to consider the possibility of pastoral ministry. It is encouraging and humbling to look back at the faithfulness of God as He has led me to the place where I am today.
